Eggborough Power Station – DSM Demolition Ltd
PPS Metal Recycling (PPS) was appointed by DSM Demolition Ltd (DSM) as a sub-contractor for associated works at the Eggborough Power Station site. The scope of work included:

Dismantling and processing of large and small transformers

Clearance of reusable pipework

Internal strip-out of stores

Dismantling and lifting operations for the alternator within the turbine hall

Dismantling and lifting operations for the pump house, including removal of an overhead gantry crane
-
Purchasing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
All works were carried out in a phased sequence in line with the agreed programme timescales. Regular coordination was maintained between PPS and DSM to ensure smooth project delivery.
Project duration: August 2019 – February 2022 (Phased works)
Contract value: Between £2.5m – £3.0m

Thornhill Power Station – White Tower Energy Ltd
PPS Metal Recycling (PPS) was appointed by White Tower Energy Ltd (WTE) as a subcontractor for works at Thornhill Power Station. The project involved:

Dismantling and lifting operations of the smoke flue

Purchasing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
Works were conducted in a phased manner, adhering to programme timescales, with ongoing coordination between PPS and WTE throughout the project.

Contract value: Between £500,000 – £1m
